In this video you will learn how our mind works. What are the filters of mind?
Only few percent people in this world are actually aware about it and that is why they are successful and live happy life.
Actually quality of our life is totally dependent on these mental filters. If we are not aware about it then also these filters are working as per default mode (auto pilot mode) and most of the time work against us. We must understand functioning of our metal filters and must have full control over it so that we may live our life the way we want to live.
We perceive information from outer world through our five sensory organs. Our mind has to take decision for every information which will enter in mind. At any moment of time we receive millions of bits of information and if mind has to take decision for every information then we can go crazy. Our nervous system will break down and may collapse. To protect our brain (nervous system), our subconscious mind is blessed with three filters. Let us comprehend them in detail.

1- Deletion – Our mind receives millions of bits of information at any moment. Now deletion filter deletes most of that information. It decides between what is necessary and what is needless and deletes the unwanted information. Major chunk of this information is deleted because this filter considers it as useless for us. Just try to recall what you did yesterday.
Example - You must have gone somewhere and seen many people, buildings, cars, bikes and so many other creations. Do you remember everything? Are you able to recall all the faces which you have seen? Are you able to recollect how many cars you saw yesterday? Off course no because it is not possible. Deletion is very important filter. It allows only useful information to enter in our mind and deletes unnecessary information so that our brain will have lesser load.
Check how many times in a day it happens with you.

2- Distortion – Some informations are distorted by our mind.

Let us understand it with help of few examples.
Example-1- If I will say – ice cream. What will happen in your mind? I gave audio signal but your mind will convert it into visuals. You must be creating a picture of ice cream in your mind as per your past experience. If you like ice-cream then you must be able to feel the taste. Here information was perceived as audio but was distorted into pictures.

This filter distortion helps our mind in understand the information and converts into that form in which mind will be able to digest it easily. Check how many times in a day it happens with you.

3- Generalization – In some cases our filters will generalize the information.
Example – You friend went for dinner in a restaurant. He ordered Italian dishes. Food was tasty so now he will have generalized opinion about that restaurant that it serves tasty food. You listened it and you took your family for dinner. You ordered Indian food and it was horrible in taste. You became angry and were upset. How you will describe your experience. Restaurant serves pathetic food. You decided it based on the taste of Indian food. Your friend decided based on taste of Italian food. Both are right or both are wrong :-)
It might possible that they have two chefs. One for Indian food and one for Italian food. You generalized based on your experience and so did your friend.

Now you understand why filtration happens? Because it reduces information for mind for registration and simplifies so that we can easily understand it. If our mind deletes all the negative information (if we learn this art) then what can be better than it. We were never taught this science of filtration.
